A Vision for Nature in the Heart of the City
It began with a challenge. How do you bring the wild, untamed beauty of nature into the polished, high-rise world of Hong Kong’s most iconic office building? When JLL approached QUEST Plants with the brief to create a large-scale natural green installation for INVESCO Jardine House, we didn’t just see a wall—we saw a canvas for a story. Jardine House, a landmark of Hong Kong’s Central skyline, is steeped in history and grandeur. It’s a place where business and legacy meet. Our task was to create a living piece of art that would not only enhance the space but become a conversation starter—a natural wonder that felt as timeless as the building itself.
From Concept to Contour: Sculpting Moss Like Stone
We knew a flat, uniform wall wouldn’t capture the magic. Nature doesn’t grow in straight lines. It rises, falls, creeps, and flourishes in layers. So, we began to think like geologists and botanists combined. Each curve was deliberate. Each layer of moss was placed with intention. From a distance, the wall appeared as a living landscape—a lush, green cliff suspended in the heart of the city. Up close, the texture invited touch and admiration, revealing the artistry behind every leaf.

"It’s more than a design choice. It’s a statement. We can create moments of wonder."
A Two-Story Statement
Standing at 6.4 meters tall and stretching 4.5 meters wide, this moss wall was one of our largest and most ambitious projects to date. It wasn’t just an installation; it was a monument to nature’s resilience and beauty. We didn’t just place moss on a wall—we gave it form, movement, and soul. The result? A breathtaking feature that feels as natural as it does intentional. It’s a place where people pause to look, where the energy of the city softens into the calm of green.
The Moment It Came to Life
There’s a second, just after installation, when you step back and realize: This isn’t just decor. It’s a living piece of the earth, frozen in time. That’s what we felt when the last panel was secured. The moss wall didn’t just fill the space—it transformed it. Suddenly, the lobby wasn’t just a transit zone; it was a sanctuary. A place where people paused, where conversations softened, where the air itself felt different. JLL’s team told us later that visitors would stop mid-stride, reaching out (though they couldn’t touch—preserved moss is delicate!) just to confirm it was real. Mission accomplished.
