The Bishop's hat cactus, or Astrophytum myriostigma, is a spikeless indoor cactus with a star-like shape. It thrives in bright sunlight and requires minimal watering. It produces yellow flowers with a red center in direct summer light.

Light: requires bright, direct sunlight for 6 hours per day.

Water: allow the soil to completely dry out between waterings. Only water when the soil is completely dry to the touch, which may be every 2-3 weeks.

Fertiliser: every 2-3 months during the growing season (spring and summer) with a balanced, diluted cactus/succulent fertilizer. Avoid fertilizing in winter.
