MADAGASCAR PALM
The Madagascar Palm (Pachypodium lamerei) is a tropical plant known for its distinct silhouette. With a thick trunk and feathery leaves, it thrives in sunny, arid conditions.
Light: thrives in bright, direct sunlight. It requires at least 6 hours of direct sun per day, ideally in a south-facing or west-facing window.
Water: highly drought-tolerant. Allow the soil to completely dry out between waterings. Only water when the soil is bone-dry, which may be every 2-3 weeks. Be cautious not to overwater, as it can lead to root rot.
Fertiliser: every 2-3 months during the growing season with a balanced, diluted cactus/succulent fertilizer. Avoid fertilizing in the winter when the plant is in a dormant period.
Benefits: low-maintenance and unique appearance.
