MOONSHINE SNAKE PLANT
The Moonshine snake plant, or Dracaena trifasciata 'Moonshine,' has long, pale-green leaves reaching 4 feet tall. It thrives in bright, indirect sunlight and requires minimal watering. Fun fact: It can produce fragrant flowers with proper care.
Light: thrives in bright, direct sunlight. It requires at least 6 hours of direct sun per day, ideally in a south-facing or west-facing window.
Water: highly drought-tolerant. Allow the soil to completely dry out between waterings. Only water when the soil is bone-dry, which may be every 2-3 weeks. Be cautious not to overwater, as it can lead to root rot.
Fertiliser: feed sparingly, around once every 2-3 months during the growing season (spring and summer). Use a balanced, diluted houseplant fertilizer or a specific succulent fertilizer. Refrain from fertilizing during the winter months.
Benefits: produces oxygen at night, making it a great bedroom plant for improved air quality during sleep.
